Year 4 Williamson

Welcome to our class page.

Join us on our learning journey this year.

Here we are outside our classroom!

Our class novel is The Travelling Time Cat and the Egyptian Goddess by Julia Jarman.

Before writing, we used drama to bring our story plans to life.

Black history month

Year 4 performed a poem called 'Lift Every Voice and Sing' by James Weldon Johnson.

We have continued to use models and images to further our understanding of numbers and place value this half-term.

Year 4W class assembly

Remembrance Day

A big thank you to our parents and carers who attended our Remembrance Day class assembly. We hope you enjoyed the 'Play and Stay' session afterwards.

The Inflatable Museum

Jack, who works at Manchester Museum, brought the Inflatable Museum to our school last week. It was full of Ancient Egyptian artefacts. He told us the journey of these artefacts from Egypt to our museums. We did not know about how some ended up in the homes of collectors, and how they were shown off at dinner parties. We learnt so much about the Ancient Egyptians too.

Friendship Week (Anti-Bullying Week)

During Friendship Week, we had a special assembly, and in class we were reminded about how to be good friends to each other.   Each class prepared a friendship message, which was attached to a balloon and released on the last day of Friendship Week. We hope that someone finds our friendship message, and gets in touch with us. Fingers crossed!
