Our Expectations

School Uniform

 

At St Thomas of Canterbury RC Primary School we believe the school uniform contributes to the ethos of our school and provides a sense of identity and belonging for all children. All children are asked to wear our school uniform which is bright, comfortable and inexpensive.

 

Winter:             Navy blue jumper or cardigan with logo

                        Grey skirt or pinafore dress (girls)

                        Grey or black trousers

 

Summer            Yellow gingham dress (girls)

                         Grey shorts and yellow polo shirts (boys)

 

Plain black, flat shoes should be worn by both girls and boys.

 

All uniform must be clearly marked with the child’s full name.

PE Kit

 

The PE kit for both girls and boys is black shorts, white tee-shirts and black pumps. All children need a draw-string bag for their PE kit . PE bags are available from the school office at a cost of £3.00

Jewellery

 

No jewellery should be worn to school, other than a wrist watch. If children have their ears pierced, a small stud can be worn, but this must be removed by the child before taking part in PE or games. This is in line with Health and Safety Guidelines.

 

Mobile Phones

 

Mobile phones should not be brought into school. If brought into school for use before or after the school day, they should be deposited in the school office to ensure they do not disrupt lessons.

 

 These or any other valuables should not be in school and the school accepts no responsibility for their loss or damage whatsoever.

No toys of any kind should be brought into school and the school accepts no responsibility for their loss or damage.
