Our pupils....
We have been very busy bees since joining Reception! Each day we must arrive at school on time, as we start every day with our fun fine motor and hand-strengthening activities. These special tasks help to strengthen our grip when using writing pencils – important preparation for when we are busy writers!
We have a jam-packed curriculum of fun learning opportunities, which are driven forward by our interests and abilities. We demonstrate our understanding, knowledge and skills through playful learning and the adults working with us find special ways to challenge and extend our learning further.
We love being busy bees!
Each day we enjoy gather time in small learning groups. Our primary focus is on high quality communication and use of language. As part of our learning journey so far we have explored various topics linked to familiar experiences. This has included transforming our role-play areas into a baby clinic, a post office, a vets and even a woodland camp! We participate in weekly modelled and shared writing sessions and are now emerging as writers ourselves. We have been bringing together our skills from daily phonics and our letter formation knowledge to create some impressive labels and lists!
