Welcome to Reception Bullough

Reception Class Assembly

This is our Reception Class assembly on safari animals and creation.

A very warm welcome to our new class, your children will be working closely with Miss Greene, Miss Smith, Miss Clarke and Mr Wadley this academic year.

The children have settled extremely well into their new class and we have had a very busy start to our Reception year.

To begin the children have enjoyed exploring all of the new areas within our class and we have shared lots of new stories, such as 'The Tiger who came to Tea.' We came up with some fantastic words to describe the tiger and the children told lots of tales about the tiger coming to their own homes for tea.

We have enjoyed singing number songs - 'Ten green bottles' is one of our favourites and we understand that there are 'fewer' bottles as one bottle accidently falls.

Starting PE lessons has been one our favourite sessions in Reception and we are beginning to understand what happens to our heart beat as we participate in physical activity.

We have been moving around the hall in different ways, such as being, as tall as a giraffe, as wide as an elephant and as jumpy as a frog! Take a look at some of our pictures!

HELP AT HOME! .........

Please encourage you child to get ready for school by themselves. You can start with small steps, like allowing them to put on their socks and shoes. Then gradually increase what they can do by themselves. This will certainly boost their confidence and develop their self help skills, which are vital in the Early Years!
