We have had a busy term investigating and researching facts about volcanoes. We have completed independent and group work surrounding our topic and have enjoyed planning, editing and writing stories about our journey to Volcano Land!

Mad for Maths!

This term we have had lots of opportunities to investigate different areas of place value using an array of models, some of 3B prefer numicon whilst others prefer to use base 10 or a 100 square to help complete calculations.

Mental Maths tests.

Our mental maths tests are well underway with some children progressing to test 3 within the first couple of weeks! I am hoping the majority of the class will be competing in the world cup however this cannot happen without your help! Please practice with your child regularly!

English.

This term we have become familiar with two different well loved books, at the start of the term we adventured with the witch from the story ‘Room on the broom.’ We are currently learning about James and the Giant Peach. The story has provided us with lots of opportunities to write adventure stories and fact files based on the characters in the story.
