YEAR 1 CLITHEROE CASTLE

Dear Parents/Carers,

On Tuesday 14th January (1C) and Friday 17th January (1S) we would like to take the children in Year 1 on an educational trip to Clitheroe Castle. Our new history topic is castles and it will be a great opportunity for the children to immerse themselves in ‘all things castles’ as well as taking part in two fantastic workshops.

In order for this trip to be possible, we need the support of parents to help cover the cost of the workshops and travel. We therefore ask for a parental contribution of £8, with the remaining expense being covered by school.

If you wish for your child to take part, please make a payment online using the ParentPay link on our school website. Alternatively, visit www.parentpay.com and make use of your school username and password. Parents wishing to use Pay Point should contact the school office to order a Bar Code Letter. We ask that you make a payment as soon as possible, but no later than Wednesday 8th January. This is to ensure we have full payment before the school trip.

*Please note that payment for the trip acts as your consent for your child to take part.

We will need to arrive at Clitheroe Castle for 10am. In order for your child to be on time for their workshop, please arrive at school for 8.30am so that we can get ready in our groups and leave promptly on the coach. We will be travelling to Clitheroe Castle and will return to school at 4.00pm.

On the day, children must come to school in full school uniform so that they are easily identifiable on the trip.

Thank you for your support. If you have any questions please speak to a member of staff from Year 1

Kind Regards,

Miss Carlton & Miss Sale
