Welcome to Year 3! This year is full of exciting opportunities for learning, growth, and exploration. Children will deepen their understanding across a broad curriculum including English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, Art, Design & Technology, Computing, Music, PE, and PSHE.
They’ll investigate fascinating topics such as the Stone Age, Forces and Magnets, Expressionist Artists and learning a new language, French, while developing key skills in reading, writing, and problem-solving. We also nurture personal development, encouraging resilience, kindness, and a love of learning through hands-on activities.
As part of our PE curriculum, Year 3 pupils will attend swimming lessons on Fridays:
- 3C will swim from September to February
- 3A will swim from March to July
Please ensure your child brings their swimming kit every Friday during their scheduled term.
- Monday: All Year 3 classes have PE lessons.
Children should come to school wearing their PE kits for this day.

We're looking forward to a fantastic year ahead filled with curiosity, creativity, and confidence!

Year 3 loved our world book day, dressed in pyjamas or our favourite character! We even had a King of hearts and a Queen of hearts!

We have exploring so many new and wonderful things in year 3 this year.
We have looked at pop art inspired by Andy Warhol.

We have explored at making predictions in science, looking at shadows in our topic light and all about flowers, stems and leaves in our plants topic
.
D.T we have looked at structures and nets and made our own box for a character in a book!
We have also been inspired by our history topic and made Roman satchels with the aspirations of being designers.
