“LAUDATO SI’, mi’ Signore” – “Praise be to you, my Lord”. In the words of this beautiful canticle, Saint Francis of Assisi reminds us that our common home is like a sister with whom we share our life and a beautiful mother who opens her arms to embrace us. “Praise be to you, my Lord, through our Sister, Mother Earth, who sustains and governs us, and who produces various fruit with coloured flowers and herbs” - Pope Francis 2015.
In the Eco club we strive to ensure our school is Eco friendly as possible.
We have been recycling all our waste paper, planting new flowers and litter picking in and around the school grounds. The children have responsibilities to take care of our Marine life and Gecko "Sunny" along with gaining new knowledge about how we can keep improving to help our environment.
For Lent, we asked the children to give up chocolate and to donate this for a hamper raffle.
Thank you to all who donated and bought a ticket.
We raised £565!
We could not have done this without the support of the families and children of the school. This will go towards the school garden. We will also be helping the WWF charity and adopting an animal as a school.
Once again thank you from the Green Team.
