Sports Day

The King's Coronation

The children have celebrated the king's coronation together. Having a British party in his honour and learning about King Charles III.

People who help us

The Acorn children are looking at the different people in our society that helps us.
This includes people from the Emergency services, to people in our everyday lives that help us. The children have enjoyed dressing up and role play activities around these job roles.

The farm visits school

The farm came to school! The children took great delight in seeing the animals. Including Alpacas, sheep, ducks, chickens and goats. The Acorn children enjoyed petting the animals and getting to feed them.
This was great as the children had just looked at these animals during Spring term 1.

Happy Easter!

The Acorn classroom wishes you all an happy Easter!
The children have enjoyed learning about the Easter story and joining in with an Easter egg hunt and even meeting the Easter rabbit!

Space Wonderdome

The Acorn children went to space!

The children had a unique immersive sensory experience, using projections inside a mobile planetarium. The children loved this and enjoyed the visuals of the universe.

Chicks

The children in the Acorn classroom, enjoyed their visit with with chicks. They were able to get up close and hold the baby chicks.

Spring is here!

The children have been looking at the changes they can see in the seasons. Activities such as planting seeds and looking at the new life that is returning as we move into the warmer months.

The children decorated and ate their own pancakes.

Santa comes to the Acorn Classroom

Santa Claus came into the classroom to meet the children and take a picture with them. The children enjoyed sitting with him and celebrating Christmas time together.
